"Beach dinners must be exceedingly portable and simple. Not only do we have to get it to the beach, we also have to be able to pack up in a hurry if a thunderstorm should develop," says Chef Mom.
Does this beach "tablescape" meet the requirements? I don't think so, but it sure looks fabulous. And to my own surprise, I have actually never had a beach picnic!

I've never had a beach picnic either - but if they were like this, I'd request one EVERY DAY! Thanks for sharing - certianly an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exotic setting. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteOH NO. I cannot believe you have never had a picnic. You need to rectify this soon. Even a backyard picnic can be fun. I think sitting on grass to eat is a preferable to sand. Sand makes for quite crunchy food! Nice picture though! Julie
ReplyDeleteWow. I love this. Absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeleteWish I lived by the beach!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I set that up in no time...as if!! Well unless I'm the F&B manager of a hotel! Great photo! Wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

Don't feel too bad. I love on Maui and never have had a beach picnic! Plenty of BBQ's but not an actual picnic. I may just need to do this so I can say that I have. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I am a big picnic fan.....love them!
ReplyDeletelooking pretty good to me lol

I remember having a beach picnic once but it wasn't this elaborate! Wow!
ReplyDeletelove the beach picnic.....never looked like that though :)
ReplyDelete(P&J and carrot sticks)!
Probably the closest I've come to a beach picnic is sandwiches and chips out of a beach bag. The photo does seem a tad unrealistic but a wonderful fantasy. I'm there! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, we have had nothing but rain, rain, rain. that beach picnic looks divine!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, how creative of you! Haven't seen one of these tablescapes yet. I like it!

That beach picnic looks much more inviting than my sandwiches, chips, fruit and nuts from the cooler ever did.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of picnic lunches my husband and I would have on a secluded beach in Cairns...on days like this (it's raining and grey in Michigan) I really ask myself 'and why did we move??'...love all the fruit! :o)
ReplyDeletethanks for share. great picture. I like it. See you on my blog also.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a picnic that is!!! I love the thought that you have to be able to pack up in a hurry for a storm. I'll be thinking differently the next time I pack a picnic!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is some picnic. I've never done the picnic on the beach, either. It's on my list of things to do. :)
ReplyDeleteThat beach picnic looks wonderful...and that white sand...sigh!! Thanks for the moment of paradise!! Huggy Hugs!
