"The quintessential cottage is relaxed, inviting, and encourages occupants to leave perfection at the door," says Jennifer Sperry from Cape Cod Life. Sounds good to me.
I think that is what is so lovely about a beach cottage is that you can really feel comfortable in it without trying to always make it perfect. That shade of blue is quite beautiful!
What a great concept for a blog you have! I have always wanted to live by the beach as well-a life long dream I hope to fulfill someday. Or at least oinly a half hour away from the beach!
I'm SOOO glad we're no longer in the "matchy-match" phase of decorating when everyone wanted to go to a furniture store and buy a whole room full of matching pieces. Boring. I so agree with you! Brenda
that's a nice reminder. it is nice to just enjoy the cottage and not fuss too much!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this nice little diversion and a chance to imagine the world outside my chilly office!
ReplyDeleteLooks so inviting, just grab a book or relax...thanks for stopping by ><((((*>

ReplyDeleteleaving perfection at the door, or would that be stinky teenagers shoes?!!
It is a delightfully peaceful and pleasant room. Thanks for your visit.
ReplyDeleteI live in the mountains and don't think I could leave them even for the beach...but two homes would be ideal. I hope your dream comes true.
